Attendees:
Scaffolding operatives and supervisors who use Layher system scaffolding in their work.
You will have previously successfully completed the CISRS Part 1 Tube & Fittings Scaffolding course (Mandatory Requirement).
What will you learn?
You will be able, under supervision, to erect, alter and dismantle Layher system scaffold structures safely and in the correct sequence.
How will I be assessed?
You will be continuously assessed on the following:
- Erect/ dismantle 3-bay independent scaffold with 1 inside the board, including a 2-bay return with 2 inside boards, birdcage, staircase and loading tower
- Layher System Scaffold Theory Test Paper.
This is a pass/ fail assessment.
What do I get for completing?
- Once you successfully complete the CISRS Layher SSPTS course, you will be issued a CISRS certificate of attendance as a record of your training.
- If you have passed a CISRS Health, Safety and Environment test within the last 2 years, you will be able to apply for your CISRS Trainee Scaffolder/ Scaffolder/ Advanced Scaffolder/ Inspection card to be updated to reflect this training element.
This will be carried out as part of the course administration and incurs a charge per application to cover the standard CITB card application cost which is included within the course pricing.
What do I need to bring?
You will be required to wear some PPE equipment and to bring some tools and equipment for the practical elements. Please check course specification for full details of PPE and Workwear and Tools and Equipment requirements.
